Jennifer Christanson, LPC: Jenn demonstrates great clinical strength in her ability to build a safe and empathetic therapeutic relationship. This allows clients to explore issues and develop effective coping strategies.
She has had the privilege of witnessing dramatic transformations in clients with ADD/ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression and suicidal ideations. Jenn is eager to apply her experience and compassion with clients as they begin a new journey that will aid them in improving their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.
In her clinical practice, Jenn delivers multimodal approaches: cognitive therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, psychoeducational and mindfulness s to clients with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and adjustment problems; such as anxiety, stress and depression.
Jenn has a compassionate, direct, and holistic approach to therapy. In addition to private practice, Jenn works in the Norwich Public School District. With her primary area of interest in children she attends numerous PPT, IEP and 504 meetings. Jenn is currently working with a vast array of clients to include military families, children with RAD, ADD/ADHD, SPD, ASD, and behavioral issues.
Jennifer completed her Bachelor's Degree in Child Psychology with Walden University prior to obtaining a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology as well as Counseling.
